Today, it has come to light that certain dishonest people have been preparing false “Mahaprasad” (the offering of rice, dal, besara, etc. offered to Lord Jagannath and his siblings) in the Paika Sahi region on Lokanath Road here for sale to devotees.
The bogus “Mahaprasad” was reportedly being prepared in the Paika Sahi locality inside a tent in an open field. After media personnel came, those engaged in the fabrication of the false “Mahaprasad” left the area. In addition to hurting the devotees’ feelings, the episode has created a great deal of hatred among them.
