AI To Solve Farming Issues; Farmers Imparted Training At ICM

Farmers residing in remote rural areas will no more require to visit agriculture office and meet agro officials to get their farming related problems solved. Farmers in rural areas can take the assistance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for any of their doubts and issues related to cultivations or farming. The department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment has roped in the Artificial Intelligence to lessen the burden of farming related issues. The main objective of the initiative is to make farmers aware about the use of upgraded technology in remote rural areas, an official said.

Many farmers from across the State have received training on the use of AI from officials at the ongoing International Convention on Millets (ICM) in Bhubaneswar. A farmer can quickly find solutions to their problems if they own a smartphone. The district or block agriculture office is where they must obtain the QR code; alternatively, they can download it more conveniently from the Google app. They must input their registered mobile number once they have installed the app or scanned the QR code.

The AI will then inquire about his or her issues. Farmers can text or speak in about their problems, and in a matter of seconds, another box will offer a suggested solution. A farmer can listen to the message by clicking the speech button if they are unable to read the text. The farmer can reject an unsatisfactory response, in which case the AI will provide additional details and suggestions.
