The massive security lapse made, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday to cancel his visit to Ferozepur in Punjab after his convoy was stuck on a flyover for 15-20 minutes after being blocked by some protesters.
The furious (visibly) PM reportedly expressed his anger after returning to Bhatinda airport on his way back to Delhi.
Officials at Bhatinda Airport told that PM Modi on his return to Bhatinda airport told officials there, “Apne CM ko thanks kehna, ki mein Bhatinda airport tak zinda laut paaya (Thank your CM that I reached Bhatinda airport alive)”.
PM Modi was scheduled to lay the foundation stones of Rs 42,750 crore projects in poll-bound Punjab.
