Apollo Green Energy To Invest Rs 4500 Cr For Green Energy Projects In Odisha

Apollo Green Energy Ltd expressed interest in implementing green energy projects in other regions of Odisha in addition to the 54 MWP power project that it is currently building in Ganjam, which is valued at Rs 151 crore. Today, during a meeting presided over by Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo, the business presented a PowerPoint presentation on the establishment of solar power projects in Odisha.

According to Singh Deo, Odisha is totally dedicated to achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Clean and Green India vision. He stated that the government will offer all the resources and assistance required to meet Odisha’s ambitious green energy target. A 54 MWP power plant in the Ganjam district of Odisha is now being built by Apollo Green Energy using EPC-ground solar technique at a cost of Rs 151 crore. In a same vein, it is eager to carry out green energy initiatives in other Odisha regions. It has suggested spending Rs 4500 crore on 1000 MW of green energy projects in total.

This will generate solar electricity and provide work opportunities for 3000 people directly and indirectly. This project will also have the capability of storing excess electricity in batteries (a battery energy storage system) following usage, if needed. Senior executives from the Energy Department, OPTCL CMD Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma, Gridco MD Trilochan Panda, Apollo Green Energy Limited CEO Sanjay Gupta, President Rakesh Gupta, and Principal Secretary Vishal Dev attended the meeting.
