Shri Ashish Ishwar Patil, IAS, has been appointed as the new Collector and District Magistrate of Dhenkanal.
According to a notification issued by the Government of Odisha, General Administration and Public Grievance Department, on Tuesday, 22nd July 2025, several administrative officers have been transferred across the state, including Mr. Patil’s appointment.
Mr. Patil, a 2017 batch IAS officer, was previously serving as the Collector and District Magistrate of Malkangiri. He has also served as the Collector and District Magistrate of Kandhamal, and as the Sub-Collector of Balasore.
He replaces Shri Somesh Kumar Upadhyay, who has been transferred and posted as the Collector and District Magistrate of Malkangiri.
