Prince of Dhenkanal ( Erstwhile Dhenkanal Princely State) Amarjyoti Singhdeo performed the chera pahara niti.Worth mentioning that the Sidhha Balaram Jew Temple in Dhenkanal dates back to 15th century and here Lord Balaram, Lord Krishna, Devi Subhadra, Devi Rukmini along with Lord Jagannath( In a separate temple inside the premises) are worshipped. After the Bahuda Yatra rituals the Suna besha (Gold attire) ritual was held in the evening inside the temple premises.
