Balaram Jew Temple in Dhenkanal holds Rath Yatra inside temple sans devotees

On Monday, the Annual Rath Yatra was held here inside the premises of Shri Balaram Jew Temple of Dhenkanal. Like the previous year the yatra was held inside the temple and devotees were bared to participate in the yatra due to the prevailing Covid-19 Pandemic.Only sevayats, priests, members and officials of the temple administration, press personnel’s, some officials of the local administration and person related to the rituals were present inside the temple and participated in commencing the yatra.The pahandi of the lords was started around 11.00 am in the morning and after which the Prince of Dhenkanal (erstwhile Dhenkanal princely state) Amarjyoti Singhdeo performed the chera pahara ritual.Since last year due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic the yatra is celebrated inside the temple premises where two mini raths were made for performing the rituals only.
