Baramunda Bus Stand To Be Named After Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar

The recently built Baramunda Bus Terminal will bear the name of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the revered social justice activist and father of the Indian Constitution. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik made the announcement while expressing sincere gratitude to Dr. Ambedkar. Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar Bus Terminal would be the new name for the Baramunda Bus Stand.

According to the Chief Minister, Dr. Ambedkar was a committed social reformer and a visionary leader. For the oppressed, he was the ray of hope. His entire life has been devoted to creating a just society. At the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Bus Terminal, a unique 900-square-foot gallery will be built to raise public awareness of his significant contribution and nationalist aspirations.

Ambedkar’s biography and ideals will be beautifully presented through the use of digital technology. A copy of the Indian Constitution along with various articles used by Baba Saheb will also be displayed here. Built on 15.5 acres of land, the bus stand will be the prime means of transportation for 30,000 passengers per day.

In view of this, various facilities have been developed for the convenience of the passengers. Special attention has also been given to the safety of passengers.
