On Monday, an engineering student from Bhubaneswar died while five of his classmates were critically injured in a road mishap near Agastinuagam village under Chatrapur police limits of Ganjam district.
Reportedly, the deceased identified as Debraj, and his friends had gone to Gopalpur for sightseeing yesterday. They were returning to Bhubaneswar today when the car they were traveling in hit a divider and rammed into a truck.
While Debraj died on the spot, the other five were seriously injured. Debraj’s body was sent for post-mortem and the injured students were admitted to Chatrapur Sub-Divisional Hospital. Ganjam Police has started an investigation into the incident.
