Bhubaneswar, September 19, 2026: Delhi-based family office Hunch Ventures has expanded its presence in the sports sector by acquiring the Bhubaneswar Tigers franchise in the Odisha T20 League, in partnership with Odisha-based automotive group Jyote Motors.
The move marks Hunch Ventures’ entry into Odisha’s growing sports ecosystem and comes ahead of the third edition of the Odisha T20 League, which is scheduled to begin on September 20.
The Bhubaneswar Tigers will represent the state capital in the tournament, adding a new franchise to Odisha’s professional cricket landscape. The partnership between Hunch Ventures and Jyote Motors also brings together an outside investment group and a local business enterprise, signalling growing private-sector interest in sports ventures in the state.
Hunch Ventures, a Delhi-based family office with investments across multiple sectors, has been expanding its sports portfolio. Its entry into the Odisha T20 League reflects the increasing role of private capital in regional sporting competitions and franchise-based leagues.
