Patna: The CBI conducted searches at 17 places connected to RJD chief Lalu Prasad and his family members, in connection with a land for job scam. Here’s all you need to know about the case.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) once again conducted searches at the premises linked to former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family members in connection with a “land for job” scam on Friday.
Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife and former CM Rabri Yadav, their daughters Misa Yadav and Hema Yadav, besides some undeserving candidates, who were given jobs in exchange for land at a throwaway price, have been named as accused by the CBI in the FIR.
The CBI has alleged that Lalu Prasad Yadav, as the Minister of Railways during the period 2004-2009, had obtained pecuniary advantages in the form of the transfer of landed property in the name of his family members in return for the appointment of substitutes in Group “D” Post in different Zones of Railways.
