On Monday, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik unveiled the slate of candidates for the state’s impending assembly elections. Through a video message, Patnaik revealed the party’s seventh list.
Four incumbent MLAs have been dropped by the BJD: Raghunandan Das (Balikuda-Ersama), Sunanda Das (Bari), Seemarani Nayak (Hindol), and Subrat Tarai (Raghunathpali). The following are the names of the candidates and constituents:
- Raghunathpali: Archana Rekha Behera
- Balikuda Ersma: Sarada Prasanna Jena
- Bari: Bishwaranjan Mallik
- Kakatpur: Tusarkanti Behera
- Hindol: Mahesh Sahu
- Bangiriposhi: Ranjita Marandi
