Dhenkanal BJP on Thursday staged a protest and gheraoed the Sadar Block office demanding probe over the allotment of houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna scheme in the district.
Over 50 workers including senior BJP leaders, along with Ex-MP Rudranarayan Pany and Ex-Mla Krushna Chandra Patra took part in the protest. The party members alleged that eligible beneficiaries are not being allotted money under the scheme whereas the people who are not entitled are being provided the benefits by the officers.
They also discussed the matter with the BDO, Sudhir Kumar Nayak.
A memorandum of the same has been handed over to the BDO for Hon. Governor regarding the issue.
