Vice-President Lekhasri Samantsinghar of the BJP today resigned from the party’s primary membership, dealing a serious blow to the State unit of the party. She resigned by hand and mailed her letter of resignation to State President Manmohan Samal. The letter was also shared on her “X” username.
“I feel there is nothing left for me to do here and my desire to serve the people of Odisha is being hampered. I hereby resigned from the primary membership of the BJP with immediate effect”, the letter read.
Despite her honesty and diligence, she was unable to gain the trust of the leadership, as she stated in the letter. The female leader expressed gratitude to the saffron party for providing her with a job opportunity. Samantsinghar had spent the last ten years working with the BJP.
