BJP To Organise 12 Hour Bandh In Sambalpur In Mamita Murder Case

The Mamita Mehre murder case has now been more intensified as there has been an immediate demand of the removal of Minister of state for Home Dibya Shankar Mishra. Now the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) has requested the intervention of Governor Ganeshi Lal in the matter.

Further a 12-hour Bandh will observe by BJP’s Sambalpur in the district on October 26 demanding the removal of Mishra as it is reported that he had a close propinquity with the prime accused Gobinda Sahu in the incident. Further the BJP also sought a CBI probe into the matter.

According to the reports, Girish Patel, Sambalpur BJP district president stated that the bandh will begin at 6 am and party will not allow vehicles to ply on roads. But, emergency services like ambulance, milk, water, medicines and fire brigade have been exempted from the bandh. Further students visiting colleges and other educational institutions for admission or appearing examinations will also not be stopped during the bandh.

Patel further stated that this is not the first case that a BJD minister is involved in committing criminal activities. Patel appealed the people pf Sambalpur to cooperate and support the Bandh which can help to give justice to victim family.  Further the party workers will ensure all the markets, shops, business establishments, government and non-government organisations remain shut during the dawn-to-dusk bandh on October 26.
