Cities in India are in the race of Swachha Survekshan 2022 and to move citizen preparedness Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has started its activities.
According to the reports, a four days training programme is being conducted for Safei Karmacharis where 150 numbers of participants are oriented on their responsibilities of making the city clean adopting safety practices. The participants are oriented to motivate fellow community members on SS 2022 for their active participation.
On the second day of the programme, Deputy Commissioner Sanitation Suvendu Kumar Sahoo paid a visit to the venue at unit six Kalyana Mandap where Swachha Brand Ambassador of BMC Meera Parida joined as a guest of honour. The team appreciated the art competition by Safeikarmacharis on personal protective equipment and handed over PPE Kit to the participants with certificates.
In another awareness programme, street plays have been organized in three different wards under three administrative zones of BMC. The play disseminated the message of waste segregation at source, the utility of Micro Composting Centre and Material Recovery Facilities, cooperation of citizens to promote sanitation, preventing single-use plastic and use of Swachhata App.
