Its a shocking and a sad day for the odia film industry. Veteran and legendary actor Mihir Das passed away today. He was 63 years of age and passed away today while having treatment in hospital at Cuttack.
Mihir Das health condition was not good for quite a while. He was admitted to hospital and put in ventilator a couple of months back. He was having kidney issues.
Mihir Das and Sangita Das have a son, Amlan Das, who is also an actor in the Ollywood industry.
He received wider applause and recognition for his performance in Pua Mora Bholashankar. A veteran actor for more than three decades, he received Best Actor award from the state government for his performance in movies Laxmi Protima in 1998 and Pheria Mo Suna Bhauni in 2005.
