After WhatsApp chats between actresses Prakruti Mishra, Jasmine Rath, and other artists went public on Friday, accusing producer Sanjay Nayak aka Tutu Nayak of abusing novices, the ghost of the casting couch came to haunt Hollywood.
Jasmine shared her story with the media, claiming that she had been fired from a project because she had declined to meet Tutu Nayak at a club in Bhubaneswar. “I met with him professionally approximately 4-6 months ago, and he expressed concern about my ability to manage dates given that I was working on a serial and was bound by a contract. After that, they requested that I join a club. I rejected since it was nearly 10 o’clock and I had a shoot for Manoj Mishra’s “Hi Krushan.” My acquaintance, who is also a member of his family, called to reassure him that everything would be well. He was organizing my dates since he was also the associate producer of the program I was performing, she said.
Jasmine said further that this had wounded his ego and he launched a campaign of character assassination against her as a result, costing her further films for which negotiations were ongoing. Here are below the Whatsapp chats circulating onlne-

In an earlier interview with a local television station, Prakruti claimed that Tutu Nayak had only served as a manager of production businesses before being fired. “His father was a well-known producer who hasn’t lately worked on a movie. Instead, he used the false promise of getting them into movies to entice a lot of newbies. Numerous individuals connected to him also “abused” newcomers. Although I haven’t experienced this, I’ve heard that he has trapped numerous girls. Many girls’ lives have been destroyed by Tutu Nayak, she alleged.
Tutu Nayak said at his press conference that Prakruti was responding to his concerns over her alleged connection with actor Babushaan Mohanty. He said that certain “so called” producers are encouraging the actress to make untrue accusations against him.
“The actress who are making such allegations are not focussed on her career. Sameer Ranjan and Rashmi Ranjan, who were making ‘Tora Mora Kati’ with Sailendra as lead actor, had asked me have a look at Jasmine whom they were casting opposite him. I liked her and thought that they would make a good on-screen pair. But there are some professional ethics. I was disappointed when I got a call from her boyfriend to discuss her dates and asked them drop her and go for a more professional artist,” he said.
The claim that he had invited her to the club was also denied by him. “Last night, two or three girls intended to disparage me and engaged in such conversations as a result. The accusations are made by those who haven’t done anything for the business. I haven’t made a film since my father passed away, according to Prakruti, and that is correct since I don’t want to suffer losses, he added.
Tutu Natak stated that he would show up with evidence of their plot against him and file a lawsuit.
