In connection with an ongoing investigation into a case involving the unauthorized sale of reserved e-tickets for Indian Railways through the IRCTC website, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches at 12 sites in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi on Thursday. On March 1, 2021, the CBI filed the case.

According to the source, “The CBI identified the agents involved in this illicit operation and conducted simultaneous searches.
Digital devices, mobile phones that had unlawful software, damning papers, and other information, including tickets for customers who had previously been booked using the illicit program, were all found during the searches. According to the CBI, the individual in charge of providing the illicit software to numerous agents for sale and distribution was also located.
