The Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) and Senior Revenue Assistant of Bandhugaon in the Koraput district were detained by the State Vigilance on Wednesday on suspicions of bribery.
Namita Rani Paul, the CDPO, and Senior RA Aswini Pradhan were detained for taking Rs 40,000 in unlawful payment for allegedly issuing appointment letters and accepting joining letters from Anganwadi workers.
The full bribe money has been located and taken from Pradhan’s hands. In this regard, a complaint has been filed by Koraput Vigilance under Section 7 of the P.C. (Amendment)Act, 2018.
According to the Vigilance, both the accused and an investigation are being worked on, and searches are being conducted on their properties.
