Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid foundation stones for Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) plants and Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) oxygen generation plants in eight districts.
As per the official reports, the eight districts are Bargarh, Ganjam, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Rayagada and Malkangiri. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the foundation stones were laid through video conferencing.
The CM Naveen Patnaik also inaugurated a 12-bedded Special Newborn Care Unit at the Berhampur City Hospital, Dialysis Unit at Bhanjanagar, a new Primary Health Centre in Kukudakhandi block and a new Community Health Centre in Digapahandi block.
CM Patnaik thanked doctors, health workers and other Covid warriors and also informed them that there has been improvement in the situation in the second wave and the situation in some coastal districts is fluctuating.
Health & Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das, Rural Development Minister Susant Singh, Science & Technology Minister Ashok Panda, Skill Development Minister Premanand Nayak, ST & SC Development Minister Jagannath Sarka, Kandhamal MP Achyut Samant, Nabarangpur MP Ramesh Chandra Majhi, and Kendrapara MLA Sashi Bhusan Behera highly praised the Chief Minister for Odisha’s excellent performance in the fight against Covid, development of health infrastructure, his foresight and efficient leadership.
