Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik soon to visit Koraput as Andhra Pradesh making quick progress to fasten its control over the disputed Kotia Gram Panchayat in Koraput. AP has also started begun the election process in some of the village of Koraput.
CM Patnaik will soon visit the area to prevent Andhra Pradesh’s actions and also promised the people of Koraput to transform Kotia into a model Panchayat.
CM inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development projects worth over Rs 18 crore in the panchayat. He inaugurated nine projects which include a 10-bed PHC building, a health sub-centre, three cluster buildings, one office complex, two road projects from Kotia to Kunduli and from Kotia to Madakar. He also laid the foundation stone of a high-level bridge on Madakar nullah.
The inauguration and laid foundation was conducted via video conferencing where CM stated that the steps have already been initiated which will help to promote education, health, communication, drinking water and power infrastructure in the area. He also ensured that all the necessary steps have been also taken to make certain about social security and protect the livelihoods of the citizens living in the Panchayat.
While talking about the commitment of the Odisha Government towards all the round development of the area he further stated that Odisha is our motherland and Odia is our language, Lord Jagannath is our God and Koraput is the second Sri Kshetra. He also talked about the importance of freedom movement in Koraput and also paid his tributes to Sahid Laxman Nayak.
On the occasion, he interacted with SHG members and panchayat representatives over the ongoing development works. Earlier in 2018, the CM had announced projects for all-round development of Kotia Panchayat which is worth over Rs 150 crore.
