In the Anandapur subdivision of the Keonjhar district, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday inaugurated 16 projects valued at Rs 42 crore and established the groundwork for a number of further development projects totaling Rs 118 crore. The announcements were made at Anandapur College in Keonjhar at the 61st annual festival. The Chief Minister also unveiled a Rs 7 crore funding package for the college’s infrastructure upgrade at the ceremony. This include renovating the sports field and constructing a multipurpose and conference hall. He gave authorities instructions to establish Anandapur College as an independent organization.
Majhi further declared that Rs 20 crore will be used to finish building the stadium in Anandapur and Rs 2 crore would be used to upgrade the Anandapur sub-divisional hospital.
The Chief Minister commended the college’s learning atmosphere while speaking at the ceremony. In addition to stressing the significance of hard work and education for the state’s future, he shared personal experiences from his time at Anandapur College.
He was disappointed that Odisha had not adopted the NEP sooner for political reasons, but he was also comforted that the state’s current leadership had effectively introduced NEP-2020.
