Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik paid his condolences on the demise of former Chhatrapur MLA Adikanda Sethi and former Khariar MLA Kapil Narayan Tiwari.
Taking to Twitter Patnaik stated the work Sethi did for the welfare of the people as a representative will always be remembered. He also stated that Tiwari had dedicated efforts to the development and welfare of the people of the undivided Kalahandi district.
Sethi had been admitted to Khallikote Community Health Centre after complaining of chest pain. He passed away during treatment today. He was 70. He was elected to the Assembly from Chhatrapur in 2009 on a CPI ticket. He later joined the BJD.
Tiwari breathed his last on Wednesday. He was 93. He had been elected to the 7th Odisha Legislative Assembly from Khariar constituency as an Independent candidate by defeating the Janata Dal candidate in 1977.
