The first Odisha Concours D’ Elegance, an exhibition of vintage cars from all over the nation, was opened by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday. This Biju Patnaik Playground in Baramunda is the venue for the exhibition. The event, which runs through December 11, features more than fifty carefully maintained and restored vehicles. The collection of automobiles on display at the Odisha Concours’ first edition is proof of the beauty of the past.
Among the vehicles on display are models of the Benz Moterwagen from 1886, the Rolls Royce 20/25 from 1934, the Bugatti Grand Prix from 1929, the Ford v from 1932, the Moon 6-42 from 1920, the 1947 Cadillac Coupe, and the 1962 Jaguar MK 2 Saloon.
As he gave the event’s opening speech, Naveen praised the organizers for their initiative in protecting and promoting the history connected to classic and vintage cars. He expressed his happiness at the varied collection that is on show. Odisha Tourism is supporting the event. The Odisha Concours curator, Dharmaditya Patnaik, expressed her gratitude for being the event’s host and said she is overwhelmed by the public’s enthusiasm for the vintage cars. The location has been turned into a canvas on which automobile artwork is on show. Every one of the classic cars tells a different story. According to Dharmaditya, the occasion provides a unique window into the development of automotive engineering and design.
