In a video message, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik urged everyone to set January 17th apart for Mahaprabhu Jagannath and take part in the event with enthusiasm and devotion. This is the day that Srimandir Parikrama Prakalpa (the Puri Heritage Corridor Project) will be opened.
The basis of our culture, customs, and consciousness is Mahaprabhu Jagannath. On January 17, “Srimandir Parikrama Prakalpa” will be inaugurated in accordance with His will. Let us dedicate this day to Mahaprabhu along with our families. We will light lamps, sing kirtans and bhajans, and worship the Lord in our own unique ways as we participate in the festival with joy, devotion, and submission, Patnaik said in the video message.
He said that the project’s goal is to provide visitors and devotees a sense of serenity and divine happiness as they walk around the shrine. It is a day of celebration for the entire Odia race, according to Gajapati Maharaja, who added that work of this magnitude for Srimandir has not been done in the previous 700 years.
