Odisha reported 2,995 new with the single-day exposure with the cumulative case to 2,40,998. The death toll has now reached 958, with 18 more patients succumbed to death due to Coronavirus within the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases reported from across 30 districts, 1,737 were detected from various quarantine centres, while 1,258 are local contact cases.
Around 2, 10,217 people have recovered from COVID-19 while 29,770 are active cases.
According to the Health and Family Welfare department Khordha district reported 568 positive cases followed by Cuttack -166, Kendrapada- 135, Puri- 145, Angul- 142, Sambalpur-138, Balasore-121 and Sundergarh- 101.


Out of 18 people who succumbed to death, four deaths were reported from Balasore district, two people succumbed each from Nayagarh, Puri and Sundergarh. One death each were reported fromSambalpur, Mayurbhanj, Koraput, Khordha, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Deogarh and Boudh.
Official reports reveal 45358 samples were tested on Tuesday for COVID-19 that include 7885 RT-PCR, 37340 samples via Antigen testing, and 133 samples via Truenat testing, taking the number of samples tested cumulatively across the state to 35,69,600.
