The Nation wide vaccination program against the deadly coronavirus is running since January. The first group to receive the vaccine were the health care workers and the frontline workers. As of today persons with age more than 45 can receive a vaccine.
Similarly the vaccination drive in Dhenkanal is running smoothly, where the elderly people were seem to be happy and joyful while receiving the jab.
Bidulata Sahoo, aged over 65 said, ” I am quite happy to receive my shot of vaccine today. I would like to thank the government for giving the elderly person priority in terms of receiving the vaccine against the Covid-19. The arrangements over here is quite good and the process is too seamless.”
Not only Bidulata, many elderly persons are happy to receive their jab at the vaccination Centre located inside Dhenkanal district headquarters hospital.
“we are vaccinating around 150-200 people daily, only the person has to provide his/her adhaar card and phone number for the registration process,” said Anima Mohanty, a health worker at the vaccination Centre.
Regularly elderly people are coming here to inoculate the vaccine and a ray of hope and smile can be detected on their face.
