While India is officially into the third COVID wave, the condition of Odisha is yet no different. The state has witnessed a major spike in cases in a span of 10 days. While cases were less than 200 a few days ago, today the number of daily positive COVID cases in Odisha is nearing the 2000 mark.

As per the latest report from the Health Department, in the last 24 hours, Odisha has seen a huge spike of daily positive COVID cases. The exact number of cases is 1897 which is over 700 more than the cases recorded in the previous day. More than that what is more alarming is that out of 1897 cases, 262 are reported as children. Also, the TPR has increased to an alarming rate of 2.62 per cent.
