On behalf of the Health & Wellness Group of The Odisha Society of The Americas (OSA-HWG) Dr Nitin Doshi & his wife, Dr Chandini Doshi donated a Covid Testing cum vaccination, Van, to Govt of Odisha’s health department, in the loving memory of their parents Shri Kanaiyalal and Smt Ichhagouri Doshi.
, Actor Sabyasachi Mishra who is the Goodwill ambassador of OSA-HWG handed over the Van to the Health Department in presence of Dr Niranjan Mishra (Director, Public Health, Government of Odisha), Dr Salil Mohanty, Surya Narayan Das & other Govt representatives.
Sabyasachi informed that the van is equipped with advanced facilities & assembled at New Delhi which is to be used as a Mobile Covid Testing cum vaccination booth. He then said that earlier the group had sent two vans which are already in use at different districts of Odisha.
Dr Nitin Doshi, the member-Advisor of OSA-HWG said they will help promote education & health care based project across Odisha. Doshi was honoured to be a part of this fight and also requested the people to get vaccinated and spread awareness.
Dr Devashish Ray who is the chairman OSA-HWG) stated that OSA-HWG is planning & executing many activities in association with Sabyasachi Mishra and the Smile Please Team to help Odisha during the covid crisis.
He also informed that under their mega covid relief project ‘Heal Odisha, Build Odisha’ they are providing oxygen shelters, emergency medical assistance, food assistance, grocery supply, Migrant helps, covid & vaccine-related awareness etc.
Dr Niranjan Mishra conveyed that the best way to stop the Pandemic is mega vaccination drives and this van will help the health department is reaching out to remote areas.”
Sitikanta Dash (Senior patron of OSA) mentioned – “Our team is taking all steps to bridge the gaps & we will try our best in all possible ways to help Odisha overcome the pandemic.”
