CRUT Officials Ride ‘Ama Bus’ To Assess City’s Public Transport Services

In a bid to strengthen public transport services in the capital region, the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) conducted a field inspection on Saturday morning to evaluate the efficiency and commuter experience of its bus services. According to an official press release, Dr. N. Thirumala Naik, Managing Director of CRUT, along with General Manager Sanjay Kumar Biswal, took a ride on an ‘Ama Bus’ operating along a regular commuter route. The aim of the visit was to gain real-time insights into the travel experience of daily passengers and assess the system from a user’s perspective.

The authorities spoke with commuters during the journey to get their candid opinions, learn about their issues, and make notes about potential improvements. In order to make sure the tickets and payment systems operate smoothly and transparently, the team thoroughly evaluated their performance. To assess the operational preparedness and general passenger safety requirements, a thorough examination of the onboard security and safety measures was conducted.

CRUT’s continuous dedication to offering commuter-friendly, dependable, and safe transportation options in the capital area is reflected in this effort. These practical evaluations are a component of CRUT’s approach to making well-informed decisions on the ground that improve customer happiness and service quality.
