On December 9, 2025, the first Twenty20 International of the India-South Africa series will take place at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, marking the return of international cricket to Odisha after a three-year break. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the match on Monday, which is a major change to the updated home season schedule.
The five-match T20I series will start with the day-night match at 7 p.m., with subsequent matches scheduled in Ahmedabad (Dec. 19), Dharamsala (Dec. 14), Lucknow (Dec. 17), and New Chandigarh (Dec. 11). A number of matches on the men’s and women’s cricket calendar now have new venues, according to the BCCI’s updated schedule.
Notably, because MA Chidambaram Stadium is undergoing renovations, the women’s ODI series against Australia has been moved from Chennai to New Chandigarh and Delhi. In addition, certain Test matches between South Africa and the West Indies have had their venues moved, and the South Africa A one-dayers will now take place in Rajkot.
