The new Shamshera of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor says he’s feeling a whole range of emotions as he awaits the birth of his first child.
Ranbir tied the knot with Brahmastra co-star Alia Bhatt in April. The couple took over to social media to announce the pregnancy last month.
Kapoor said that while he finds it strenuous to express his feelings as he is quite ambiguous about his emotions for this new phase of his life.
But he is grateful, excited and nervous and having a baby won’t change the course of his career, said the actor.
Kapoor has always been conscious of his film choices throughout his 15-year career and believes there is nothing in his filmography that he would be ashamed of showing to his child.
“I am always aware because I know that society gets impacted. I will not do anything to disparage anyone or anybody for the sake of entertainment. That’s my personality. I have no regrets or shame for any film I have been a part of. I don’t think there’s any of my movie I want to shield my child from. I believe failures are just as important as successes. I’d like to hear from my child that, ‘Dad, that was such a bad movie,’ or ‘Dad, that was so much fun,’ and I will be genuinely happy about it,” he added.
Ranbir is currently looking forward to the release of his period action film Shamshera, which will hit the theatres on July 22. This Yash Raj Films features the actor in the dual role.
