The Delhi Caps are expected to play their second IPL 2024 match at the Barababri Stadium in Cuttack, Odisha. The Delhi Capitals’ home field, the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium, is expected to be unfit for action following its hosting of the Women’s Premier League final, hence it is likely that the team will play its opening two IPL matches at Pune and Cuttack, respectively.
The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) indicated that it will take at least two weeks to prepare the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium for IPL matches, which led the Delhi Capitals to decide to play their first two IPL matches at other locations. Regarding this, the DDCA has already written to the BCCI. It is important to note that during the course of 13 days in March, Delhi will host 11 Women’s Premier League games.
