Saroj Kumar Sethi, OAS (SS), Managing Director, Odisha State Beverages Corporate Ltd. has been appointed as the new Collector & District Magistrate of Dhenkanal informed the State Government, Department of General Administration & Public Grievance through a Notification issued on 9th of August, 2021.
The appointment of Shri Sethi as the new Collector & District Magistrate of Dhenkanal has anticipated many new hopes for the overall development of the district under his tenure as the Collector & DM.
Shri Sethi has already proved his efficient leadership and administrative qualities during his tenure as the Managing Director of Odisha State Beverages Corporate Ltd., where the latter touched many new heights during his tenure.
An able, sober and dynamic OAS officer, he has held many offices of the State Government and proved his Administrative qualities efficiently. His appointment as the new Collector and DM of Dhenkanal has risen new anticipation amongst the common people of Dhenkanal.
“Shri Saroj Kumar Sethi, OAS (SS), Managing Director, Odisha State Beverages Corporate Ltd. is transferred and posted as Collector and District Magistrate, Dhenkanal vice Shri Bhumesh Chandra Behera, OAS(SS) transferred.” the notification read.
The office was previously held by Shri Bhumesh Chandra Behera OAS (SS), who is now transferred and posted as Director, AYUSH. The notification also mentioned about the transfer and posting of other officers of the state to different capacities.
Dhenkanal District is one of the rich mineral resources district of the state, surrounded by hills and forests, it is also rich in tourism, where the celebrated Kapilash temple, Saptasajya and Joranda is situated, but there are many issues hovering around, thus the appointment of Shri Saroj Kumar Sethi has spread a wave of happiness amongst the people, many hopes are generating for the solving of different pending issues of the district and taking forward the district in the path of progress and development under his tenure as the Collector & DM.
The people of Dhenkanal are hopeful that under his tenure Dhenkanal District will witness a new advancement in overall development in all terms.
