Ekamra Parikrama Project To Be Completed By June 2026

The major components of the Ekamra Parikrama Project will be completed before Shivratri 2026, with the entire project targeted for completion by June next year. It was announced by Odisha Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan today. The minister reviewed the project’s progress and directed the Khordha district administration and Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation to resolve pending land acquisition issues. Harichandan attributed the delay to a contractor’s withdrawal in 2023 and stated that the remaining work has been divided into smaller parts with clear timelines.

It is anticipated that important projects surrounding Lingaraj Temple, such as parking lots and access roads, would be finished before to Shivratri in March. Additionally, the Archaeological Survey of India is being consulted by the state government for the restoration of Devipadahara and Papanasini ponds as well as the beautifying of Bindu Sagar. In order to track the project’s development and guarantee its timely completion, weekly progress reports will be created.
