Kangana Ranaut on Friday, took to social media and dropped veteran actor Anupam Kher’s first look from her upcoming movie Emergency. Anupam is set to essay the role of revolutionary leader Jayaprakash Narayan in the film.

The makers also unveiled the poster of Kher as Narayan, an activist, socialist, theorist and politician, who was also honoured with the Bharat Ratna posthumously in 1999, in recognition of his social service.
Directed by Kangana, the film is claimed as a turning point story in Indian political history. She also plays the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film.
Ritesh Shah has penned the screenplay and dialogues of Emergency and the film is a venture of Manikarnika production house.
