In a move to foster a safe and inclusive work environment, the Energy Department on Thursday organised a training-cum-awareness programme on “Sexual Harassment at Workplace” at Kharavel Bhavan for its senior officials and staff. The session was led by Prof. P. Yasodhara, a member of the Internal Complaint Committee (ICC), who provided insights into workplace safety, legal frameworks, and mechanisms for redressal. The interactive programme also featured a Q&A session, where employees discussed key concerns and scenarios related to workplace conduct and harassment.
The program is a component of the department’s continuous endeavors to raise awareness, protect dignity, and reaffirm its dedication to establishing a fair and courteous workplace for all workers. In order to maintain the workforce’s knowledge, empowerment, and protection under the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) rules, officials emphasized the significance of such sensitization programs.
