Entry Points Of Puri To Be Sealed For Snana Purnima ToBe Held On June 24

Snana Purnima of the sibling deities at Puri Jagannath Temple which will be observed on June 24 , strict regulations to be followed due to the second wave of covid.

According to the offical report, around 35 platoons of police force will be deployed for the smooth conduct of the Snana Purnima.

Further, Puri will be divided into 7 zones and CCTVs will be installed at 10 places and a thick security cover will be in place for the Snana Purnima as informed by Superintendent of Police (SP) Kanwar Vishal Singh.

While taking a review of ghe security preparedness earlier, Singh stated that around 35 platoons of police force will be deployed for the smooth conduct of the Snana Purnima even though the grand event will be observed without the participation of devotees due to the pandemic situation.

He further mentioned that even though the security measures will be tightened in the pilgrim town, the Puri SP assured that the residents will not face any problem in case of any medical or other emergencies.

He further added that Close Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV) will be installed at 10 places and the focus of the security build up is to strengthen the inner cordon in order to restrict the entry of un-authorised persons, and at the same time to see to it that Sevayats perform their duties without any hindrance.
