For the repeal of the three farm laws, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government had received a heavy backlash but the PM assured that the Centre is making everything to double the income of farmers.
As per the news report, PM Modi commented on the achievement of two years of the PM-Kisan Scheme via his official Twitter account. Even the central government has received a well-known improvement in the Minimum Support Price (MSP).
PM Modi Twitted- “Over the last seven years, the Government of India has taken many initiatives for transforming agriculture. From better irrigation to more technology, more credit and markets to proper crop insurance, focus on soil health to eliminating middlemen, the efforts are all-encompassing.”
He also praised the enthusiasm and perseverance of the farmers and stated that two years ago the PM-Kisan scheme was launched to guarantee a life of dignity as well as an accomplishment for our hardworking farmers, who work day and night to keep our nation fed. The determination and passion of our farmers are encouraging.
On 24 February 2019, the PM-Kisan scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Gorakhpur, UP which aimed to help hike the income of the farmers by providing monetary support to farmers’ families and also helping them financially to take care of expenses related to agriculture and allied activities. An amount of Rs 60,000 per year is transferred in three installments directly into the accounts of the farmers under the scheme.
