While the state is experiencing heavy rainfalls due to the low-pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal, similarly Dhenkanal district is experiencing heavy rainfalls since last 24 hours or more. The Indian Metrological Department (IMD) has issued red warning for the district. Normal life has been interrupted in Dhenkanal town due to incessant rainfall followed by waterlogging across many important areas of the town. Locals are witnessing knee deep water level in some roads of the city, continuous rainfall has left people indoors affecting normal life.
Anish Biswal, a native of Dhenkanal said, ” we have never seen such terrific amount of rainfall ever before, the rainfall has created waterlogging in many areas of the city affecting the people.”
