Amidst all the drama going on among Hindu and Muslim groups in Karnataka, a peace unity meeting between Hindu and Muslim groups was held at Bengaluru. The religious leaders of both the communities have come together and organized the meeting on Monday for maintaining the brotherhood between the two religions. The meeting was organized by Bharat Rakshana Vedike.
The meeting will discuss the issues of hijab versus saffron shawl row, killings of Hindu activists, and campaigns against the Muslim community which is harming the Hindu-Muslim relationship in the state. The peace meeting is titled ‘Sneha Sammilana haagu Samarasya sabhe’ (Meeting for Harmony and get together).
“If the issues are not addressed and peace is not found, we do not know where this disharmony will lead the society,” Shetty, the President of Bharat Rakshana Vedike said. “Hindus and Muslims, both are citizens of this country. Both have to live in peace, otherwise, it is detrimental to the future of the country,” he further said.
