Dhenkanal: Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Vice Chancellor Dr. Anupama Bhattanagar visited IIMC, Dhenkanal campus on Monday Morning along with Registrar Dr. Nimish Rustagi. Dr. Bhattanagar and Dr. Rustagi inspected the development works being done at the Dhenkanal campus and inaugurated the renovated boys hostel ‘Brahmaputra’.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Bhatnagar and Registrar Dr. Rustagi discussed various issues with IIMC Dhenkanal Regional Director Dr. Anand Pradhan and Special Officer G.C. Dash. Later, they also spoke to the faculty and staff of the institution. They reviewed various aspects of opening new courses in the coming days and discussed the progress of other developmental works on the campus. They visited the newly installed audio-visual lab in the academic block, boys hostel, girls hostel and emphasized on further strengthening the infrastructure in the coming days.
The first branch of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication was established in Dhenkanal in 1993. Last year, the institute was granted Deemed University status.
