IMD predicts heavy rainfall in these Odisha districts

The cyclonic circulation over Westcentral Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood persists and now extends up to 4.5 km above mean sea level as informed by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

According to the reports, light to moderate rain / thundershower has occurred at a few places over the districts of Coastal Odisha in the past 24 hours. Similarly, heavy rainfall has also occured at one place over the district of Gajapati as well. Thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur in several parts of Odisha for the next two days.

Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri ,Koraput ,Rayagada ,Kandhamal ,Kalahandi ,Sundargarh ,Keonjhar ,Mayurbhanj.

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati ,Rayagada ,Koraput .
