India’s first Centre for Studies the ‘Atal Study Centre’ which is named after late Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, is all set to establish in Banaras Hindu University (BHU).
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Uttar Pradesh’s most prestigious university where Lakhs of students from all over India come across to study here. ‘Atal Study Centre’ will be run the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Study Centre will have detailed study and research programmes related to lives of eminent political personalities of the country.
According to the reports of IANS, Kaushal Kishore Mishra, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Banaras Hindu University stated that the Atal Study Centre is being established in the BHU named after former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee where more than one dozen courses will be taught in this centre.
He further said that the centre would help to teach about the lives of many eminent personalities like Atal Bihari Bajpayee to Yogi Adityanath era. Even about the ancient Indian political thought, modern political thought, nationalism, Hindutva, mythology, democracy, constitution, employment generation methods, Indian political thought are also to be taught. Studies and research will be conducted on subjects such as India’s development journey, cultural nationalism, democracy, and constitution.
First, the proposal for the centre will go to the policymaking committee after which it will be discussed in the Academic Council and then passed through the Executive Committee Council which will send it to the Central government.
The main motive of this centre is to reveal the knowledge of the tradition of the ancient, medieval and modern Indian, which will help to inspire the youths. There will be a detailed study about the lives of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and many other big political personalities. The goal of this centre will be to inspire the youth through social sciences of India.
