Indore has been named as India’s cleanest city for the fourth time in succession. In the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs’ swachhta city overview report, Surat rose as India’s second cleanest city and Navi Mumbai is on the third spot.
Jalandhar Cantt has been announced India’s cleanest cantonment in the Swachh Bharat Survekshan-2020. Antiquated heavenly town of Varanasi is legitimately the cleanest town on the banks of waterway Ganga.
Varanasi has been picked as the cleanest town on the banks of stream Ganga. “Heartiest congrats to PM Shri @narendramodi Ji, who speaks to the city in Lok Sabha, for his visionary administration which has propelled the individuals of the town for this accomplishment,” the Union Minister said.
The declaration was made by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Thursday at the SwachhMahotsav being composed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoUHA).
“1.87 crore residents took an interest in the overview of 4,242 urban areas, 62 cantonment sheets and 92 towns along the Ganga waterway,” Ministry representative Rajeev Jain had said on Tuesday.
The ‘Swachh Survekshan 2020’ was finished in 28 days. It saw an enrollment of 1.7 crore residents on Swachhata App, more than 11 crore impacts via web-based networking media, more than 5.5 lakh sterile specialists connected to social government assistance plans and more than 84,000 casual waste-pickers coordinated into the standard.
