Jaga Kalia Charitable Foundation organizes Volunteer Charity Camp

On the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, 2nd October 2024, Jaga Kalia Charitable Foundation, a not-for-profit organization registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 (Ministry of Corporate Affairs), organized a volunteer charity camp at Gopabandhu Colony, Bhubaneswar, under the guidance of Advocate Umakanta Jena, Chairman of the Foundation.

Key members in attendance included Sri Krupanidhi Biswal (Vice-Chairperson, Working), Prof. Jayanta Kumar Sahoo (Secretary), Sri Manoj Kumar Panigrahi (Joint Secretary), Mrs. Payal Acharya (Joint Secretary), and Patrons Sri Pravat Kumar Jena, Mr. Ajay Kumar Biswal, and Rama Prasad Patra. Along with many dedicated volunteers, they distributed fruits and biscuits to the residents of Gopabandhu Colony.

The Foundation’s outreach continued to the Shanti Palli area of Saheed Nagar, where they distributed fruits and biscuits, while also listening to the grievances of the local residents. The charitable efforts of Jaga Kalia Charitable Foundation were highly appreciated by the community for their commitment to public service.

Jaga Kalia Charitable Foundation is also registered under NITI Aayog’s NGO DARPAN and was founded by Advocate Umakanta Jena, a dedicated social worker and former Senior Scientist at the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Govt. of India. The NGO aims to uplift society by improving the quality of life for the underprivileged.

The Foundation’s objectives span various areas, including education, healthcare, skill development, environmental protection, women empowerment, the promotion of art and culture, sports development, child welfare, care for the elderly, legal aid, rural development, water conservation, disaster relief, and other social initiatives aimed at the overall betterment of society.
