Jio Named 5th Strongest Brand Globally In Brand Finance Rankings

As per the annual report of ‘Brand Finance Global 500 2021’, Telecom major Reliance Jio is the world’s fifth strongest brand.

This year Jio entered in the ranking for the first time and won the title of the world’s 5th strongest brand, is Indian telecoms giant with a BSI score of 91.7 out of 100 and the elite AAA+ brand strength rating. Jio is always acknowledged as for its astonishingly affordable plans. When Jio provided 4G to millions of users for free, it created a major storm in India and transformed people to consume the internet.

The report stated that the brand’s dominance across the nation is evident from Brand Finance’s initial market research results. Jio has scored the highest in all the points- consideration conversion, reputation, recommendation, word of mouth, innovation, customer service and value for money compared to all its telecom opponents in India.

The report further stated that Jio is the fastest-growing brand in the telecoms sector ranking in terms of brand value, combating the negative trend across the industry, with a 50 per cent increase to $4.8 billion.

Verizon has also recorded a healthy brand value growth which has up 8 per cent to $68.9 billion, re-entering the top 10 for brand value following its absence in 2020. The Brand Finance survey is WeChat with a Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 95.4 out of 100. Auto giant Ferrari took the second spot, followed by bank in Russian brand, Sber and beverage Coca-Cola as the third and fourth strongest brand globally.
