BHUBANESWAR: A low-pressure system is anticipated to form in the Bay of Bengal on Friday, but the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated that it will have a minimal effect on Odisha. Despite this, several regions in the state could experience light to moderate rainfall and lightning over the next three days.
The developing low-pressure area may bring heavy rainfall to neighboring West Bengal, Bangladesh, and northeastern Odisha. The IMD has issued a yellow warning for light rain in 21 districts of Odisha, including Balasore, Bhadrak, and Puri, among others.
While significant rainfall is not expected in Odisha until October 7, the intensity of precipitation is projected to increase from October 8 onwards. Additionally, temperatures are likely to rise by 2°C-3°C, with high humidity levels persisting due to the delayed retreat of the monsoon. The weather in Odisha is expected to remain mostly dry for the next ten days.
