In view of the current Covid situation, the Lord Lingaraj temple trust board decided to conduct the Maha Shivaratri on March 1 amid restrictions. The ‘Mahadeepa’ will be placed atop the temple crown at 10 pm.
According to the reports, a review meeting was held with Khordha district Collector today at Circuit House, wherein, it was decided that like the previous year, the auspicious Maha Shivratri will be observed amid Covid curbs at Lord Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar.
Elaborate security arrangements will be made on the day. However, the decision on the entry of devotees into the shrine will be discussed later.
